The book should have ended right there. No Epilogue. Speaking of unnecessary epilogues…
Also, though I hate to criticize Our Lord and Savior J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows could have done without an epilogue too.

HUNGER GAMES TEASER.

liam’s voice in it is really sexy- seriously, even though he’s not my type…his voice *drools*

…that wasn’t much of a teaser. I think the four notes at the end could be Rue’s. The one she used at the end of the work day.

I don’t know why I felt it was a good idea to listen to The Hunger Games trilogy on audiobook. Having read the books I know what happens and for some reason I thought it would be easier the second time around. Nope. Most decidedly Nope. Just spent the last 2 hours crying as I finished Mockingjay.

What I did get out of it was a greater appreciation for Peeta. “You love me. Real or not real?”  REAL.

I have a killer headache from crying so much. Mockingjay is almost too realistic about human nature. I guess this is not necessarily a bad thing… It’s just that there’s a lot of pain and since it’s a first person narrative there’s no way to distance yourself from it. It’s is certainly not a bad book, it’s just not easy. I know all books aren’t meant to be easy, but Jesus God, this book is depressing.

While disturbing, this gif somehow seems appropriate:

This is, interestingly enough, my only Degrassi gif.
